Epidemiological Assessment of ovarian cancer in some northern Iraqi provinces

Introduction: Ovarian cancer is the third most common malignancy and second cause of death worldwide among gynecologic cancers.
 Materials & Methods: The study was a retrospective, during one-year period, from (January 2013 to December 2013). A total 106 cases ovarian were included collected Hospital Private histopathology laboratories in Sulaimaniyah, Erbil Kirkuk. Patient age ranged between (5 months-80 years).Patients distributed into many groups. mean 46 years. This aimed find out above provinces, identify number factors associated with increased incidence including age, marital status, socioeconomic family history cancer.
 Results: results showed highest group ratio within (45 – 59) years old percentage 38 % which per menopause postmenopausal hormonal disorders. According groups data significant differences under level significance (p<0.05 ).Twenty-five patients (24%) have malignant disease. majority married 86 (81%). 66 (77%) pregnancy (have one or more children), 20 nulliparous.
